I’m looking for an iron gates that is a round 36 inches tall and the same width

I have owned my house for 20 years. 15 years ago I had a relative install a large amount of used ornamental iron fencing, he was in the business doing it as a side job, and I never got a builders permit for it. Now I want to add on something else outdoors that will have to require a builders permit, but obviously when it is inspected, the city will see all the iron and know that there were no permits for it all these years. What would happen if they saw this? Would I get a huge fine for all these years on my property taxes? I can’t just say I just installed it because it is obvious it has been there awhile. What should I do? I already know what I did was wrong, but I can’t turn back the clock and make it right.
This is a state where it is required to get a permit for a fence. I live in a big city. I am worried if they find out, that I will have a HUGE fine to pay. Should I ask a lawyer?

A neighbor I don’t know who lives on the street behind me was wasted on prescription drugs, and while I was at work he drove an SUV into my ornamental iron fence on my side yard, knocked it down, then drove over it, then almost hit another house after he sped off. My daughter was home and she heard it, and by the time she got outside he was gone. His neighbor who lives on the same street recognized the SUV and called police. The police went to his house to talk to his wife, and while they were there he drove up to his house and parked. The police then walked with him to my house where they gave him a sobriety test while my daughter watched through the window. They took a statement from his neighbor who witnessed it. He was arrested for DUI–but get this–not for hit and run!! The police said because he went home that it wasn’t a hit and run!!!! He didn’t come to MY house, after all. He could have killed someone if they were walking on the sidewalk next to my house or the house he almost hit, also, my daughter was in the side yard, watering the garden where he knocked down the fence less than a half hour earlier!! Meanwhile, three days later, I saw this guy driving the same SUV. Get this, it’s not even his SUV!! It’s his brother’s!!! What can I do to get this guy in trouble for hit and run???? This guy’s driving, and he could do it again!!! He admitted he was on prescription drugs for schizophrenia and he mixed them with other prescription drugs, my daughter overheard from the police. They didn’t put my daughter on the police report, but she is a witness to the fact left the scene, and the other witness saw everything. The witness said the guy looked like he was going to pass out right before he ran over my fence. Seems to me I should have a say in it, since I am the victim and he could have or will kill someone!!!!!
I assure I am not making this up!! This is not a joke, and the more I think about it the more angry I get. Also anyone who thinks I am making this up can email me at moonlett@ymail.com and I will email you the photos! I also have the police printout, but the report is not ready yet.
Well, it’s not HERESAY that the guy drove up the sidewalk and destroyed 60 feet of ornamental iron, and there are TWO witnesses stating that he LEFT THE SCENE. The POINT is, this guy could have killed someone and may very well do so in the future. If he had been charged with hit and run, his license would have been revoked, which may or may not prevent him from getting behind the wheel. I’m not going to just lie around passive and not do anything about this mishandling of this incident. how would YOU feel, MOUTH, if some guy in YOUR neighborhood was driving around wasted and could kill someone??????

Wood, Chain Link, Ornamental Wrought Iron, Aluminum, Vinyl, Some other kind….?

We just extended our patio last year and have a few things around it, like rose bushes, tulips and mums. We would like to plant a couple dogwood trees near the patio but we do not know if it is feasible to do this or not. I certainly do not want the patio tore up by roots from the trees down the road. Are dogwood trees compatibile with being close to a patio and also would it be better to shop for some dwarf dogwoods? What kind of ornamental trees are advisable around a patio?
Where can we get ideas on what other items to plant around a patio, such as shrubs etc. We were also thinking in the near future to put a little white wrough iron fence around the patio and landscaped area. Any websites I could look at for some good practical advice. Thanks for the answers.

Owner of home says he wants the fence built a certain way. We see a problem with it. Is it our responsibility to build the fence as they requested or refuse to unless they change the design to be made properly?
